About Education For Less

Education For Less Inc was founded by Greg Miller. Greg has been a police officer with the Harrisonburg (VA) Police Department for over 20 years and has witnessed the difficulties fellow officers had in funding their education as non-traditional adults.

EDU4Less’s mission is to help lower the cost of an education for working adults who wish to better their lives through education. Edu4Less provides partial scholarships on a semester by semester basis to working adults to start or complete an undergraduate or graduate level educational program. Our goal is to reduce the cost of an education by 5% to 20% through scholarships or negotiated discounted tuition rates.

According to the U.S. Department of Labor, the average person will change careers more than 5 times in their working life, with approximately 30% of the total workforce changing jobs every 12 months. We believe that Artificial Intelligence will cause even more disruption, leading to a higher need for retraining and reeducation. Adult learners are balancing work and family, and often live paycheck to paycheck. By helping to reduce the cost of an education, we aim to helping qualified learners focus on their education and bettering their lives, their families, and those around them.

All directors at EDU4Less are unpaid volunteers with full-time jobs outside of the 501c3. To maximise our reach and ability to serve the largest amount of students, we have partnered with Approved Colleges, LLC; a firm that works with colleges and universities to provide student onboarding services. This partnership provides much needed administration support to Education For Less to ensure that students meet all scholarship requirements along with the reporting needed for Education For Less to provide scholarships directly to each students university account. Due to this administration assistance, reporting, record keeping, and verification services; at this time Education For Less is only providing scholarships to students attending an Approved Colleges, LLC-supported institution of higher education; a list of these schools and programs can be found here.
