Frequently Asked Questions

Q: If I am a current student at an in-network college or university, can I apply?
A: No, this is for new students only.

Q: Can non-US citizens apply?
A: No, this scholarship is for US citizens only

Q: How do I know if my program is eligible?
A: Eligible programs are listed on this website, only these programs – offered online, are eligible for the discount or scholarship

Q: What if I change my program after starting?
A: If you change to another eligible program then it is a seamless process; however, if you change to another that is not an eligible program, your scholarship will cease.

Q: What is the difference between the 20% tuition reduction and a 10% scholarship?
A: For certain programs, a tuition reduction over current tuition rates has been negotiated. For other programs where there is not a tuition reduction, Education For Less is providing a 10% scholarship.

Q: When and how is the scholarship paid?
A: Education For Less makes a 10% payment directly to the school into your student account within 45 days after the add/drop deadline each semester. Payments are made after verification that the student is indeed enrolled for the semester and are calculated based on the actual tuition paid at each semester start.

Q: When is the tuition reduction effective if I enroll in one of those programs?
A: The negotiated lowered tuition rate is effective immediately and applies for the duration of your time in the program

Q: Once I’m in the program, do I need to apply for each semester?
A: No, once you are in our scholarship program and continue to meet the requirements, including completion within the allotted window, your scholarship will be paid following add/drop every semester.

Q: Where is the application submission form
A: The form is contained within the application for admission platform used to enroll in the online program. It is completed before the submission of the application for admission to the college or university.

Q: If I have more questions, who should I contact?
A: By requesting information for the program on this site, you will be connected to an enrollment team member who can answer your questions through chat, a Zoom call, a telephone call, or a text message.

Q: What if my application for admission is denied?
A: You will not be able to enroll nor be provided the scholarship; however, your enrollment advisor may be able to help you find another school and program where you might be accepted.
