This scholarship is designed specifically for adult learners who want to continue their education without taking on unnecessary financial burden. By covering part of the tuition cost and removing application fees, we make it easier for students to start — and finish — their degree or certificate program.

EMCC Online Scholarship Details

The East Mississippi Community College Tuition Scholarship is designed with adult learners in mind, providing built-in savings of 10% and flexibility.

• The program is provided on a rolling start basis; the deadline terminates with each new semester, at which time a new program opens.
• Once a student has applied and been accepted, the program automatically applies to each new semester; the student does not need to reapply.
• Students must complete their degree within a six-year window.
• There is no cost to apply to the scholarship.
• Application fees and transcript ordering fees are covered by Education For Less Inc.
• The program is open to any person meeting the requirements until all program seats are filled, at which point prospective students may need to wait until the next program start date.
• The program consists of a 10% tuition scholarship for EMCC online programs.
• Total scholarship amounts will vary depending on the program selected and the tuition rate for that program; the estimated range of savings for a completed program could be up to $1,590.

Eligibility Requirements

To qualify for the East Mississippi Community College tuition scholarship, you must:

• Be an adult aged 24 years or older
• Be a new enrollee and not currently enrolled at the institution
• Be seeking enrollment in a degree or certificate program offered by EMCC
• Meet all entrance requirements and be formally accepted by the college
• Be a citizen of the United States

How to Apply

The application process is straightforward and designed to remove barriers for adult learners:

1. Find your desired program in our database here.
2. Use the widget tool to filter programs based on program type, concentration, and degree level.
3. Request more information on your chosen program.
4. You will be sent additional details via email and text.
5. Follow instructions to begin the application process. You will be provided information to register with Emma™, a mobile enrollment platform designed to simplify the process for online learners.
6. Through the platform, apply for admission and complete the application submission form. Enrollment advisors are available for support.
7. Once enrolled, your scholarship will be paid directly to East Mississippi Community College into your student account within 45 days following the add/drop period each semester for scholarship-applicable programs. For tuition-discounted programs, the discount will be applied to tuition at the start of each semester.
8. Failure to follow the process as outlined above will void the program — this scholarship is not available through EMCC’s website.
